SPAR Languedoc Red is awarded Which? ‘Best Buy’ Taste Test Endorsement
SPAR’s Regional Selection Languedoc Red 2017 has been awarded a Which? Best Buy Taste Test endorsement. Chosen as one of the Best Buy winter red wines, the panel deemed this French red as “delightful”. They described it as “a juicy, smoky, smooth wine with a good level of tannin. An excellent counterpart to roast beef, turkey, partridge, cheese, steak or lamb shank.”
Matthew Fowkes, SPAR UK Wine Buyer said: “We are delighted to be recognised by the highly regarded consumer testing body Which? Best Buy Taste Test. We are proud to work with one of the Languedoc’s most iconic producers Jean-Claude Mas, who makes wine for some of the UK’s leading retailers.
“This Languedoc red wine from the sunny south of France is a new wine from our Regional Selection range and hits price and quality with ease. When we chose it we knew it could compete with the very best red wines on the market.
“It is great to see the wines from our new Regional Selection range gaining recognition and it is a testament to our commitment to offer consumers high quality wines for all occasions at affordable prices at SPAR,” he added.
Normally priced at £7.00, the Regional Selection Languedoc Red 2017 is currently on promotion for £6.50 until 2 January 2019.
