Delicious fresh food range is perfect for parties
This Christmas, SPAR Brand will offer 20 fresh products in festive packaging, tying in with in-store PoS, and helping products stay front of mind for customers.
“With get-togethers seeing an uplift over Christmas, these pre-prepared products are ideal for festive parties,” said Cath McIlwham, SPAR Head of Brand.
SPAR’s festive sandwiches are back for 2018
This year, SPAR will donate 10p from the sale of every Turkey Feast sandwich and Wensleydale & Carrot Chutney sandwich to its national charity, Marie Curie.
This seasonal festive delight will be available in SPAR stores from 14 November until Christmas Day.
SPAR’s Christmas confectionery lines are great stocking fillers
This year’s SPAR Brand festive confectionery range consists of a chocolate Santa, chocolate medallions and a net of chocolate coins.
“These lines are perfect stocking fillers, treats or even festive gifts, sitting within SPAR Brand’s overall Christmas offering and bringing retailers a great opportunity for double-siting in store,” said McIlwham.
SPAR revamps mince pie range for 2018
To make the most of the opportunity for the UK’s most popular festive treat, SPAR is launching three new and improved mince pies this Christmas.
This year, SPAR’s Luxury Mince Pies won the coveted Christmas Gold Q award at the Local Shop Quality Food Awards.
With 370bn+ mince pies sold during the festive period last year, they’re an essential part of the Christmas range, said McIlwham.
Premium spirits make ideal Christmas gifts
To capitalise on the growth of premium sector spirits, SPAR Brand is launching a premium French Grain Vodka (RRP £17.99) Rhubarb & Ginger Flavoured Gin (RRP £17), the top-selling flavour in the market this October.
What’s more, added McIlwham, premium spirits account for 30% of all spirits sales and this can grow to more than 50% over Christmas.
And don’t forget New Year’s Eve…
With 78% of people now celebrating the New Year at home, SPAR retailers have everything shoppers need for a cosy evening in.
The most important categories for SPAR retailers to stock up on for this occasion are crisps and snacks, wine, beer and spirits, sweets and soft drinks.
“The Christmas period is a time where our shoppers have many last-minute parties, and entertaining at home increases dramatically.
“Our SPAR Brand range is perfect for casual eating at home, sharing, making Christmas dinner, and gifting,” she said.
“We’ve worked hard to make sure our festive offering is ideal for all our SPAR retailers and their stores, whatever their size and formats, by catering for the many different shopper missions this Christmas and New Year.”
Marketing support for the SPAR Brand Christmas range will include digital, PoS, social media and radio activity.
