PUKKA PIES ENTERS CONVENIENCE SECTOR WITH NEW ON-THE-GO RANGE
Pukka Pies, the nation’s number one pie brand, is launching into the convenience sector for the very first time with a new portfolio dedicated to on-the-go eating occasions.
Launching in January 2019, the new range of pies, pasties and sausage rolls are all ready to be eaten hot or cold. The range includes the following:
o A deliciously tasty large Sausage Roll (£1.49 RRP)
o A tempting Meat & Potato Pasty (£1.49 RRP)
o Four succulent pies in Pukka’s famously flaky puff pastry: Minced Beef & Onion, Chicken & Mushroom, Veggie Leek & Potato, Steak (£1.49 RRP)
Famous and loved for its golden, light and flaky puff pastry, Pukka Pies has expanded its footprint outside of pies and evening meal occasions “to tap into the ever-growing food-to-go market” according to Pukka Pies CEO, Deborah Ewan.
IGD has predicated significant growth of the food-to-go market over the next five years from £16.1bn in 2016 to £21.7bn by 2021.
Mrs Ewan continued: “2018 has been a very successful year for Pukka Pies so far, with 1 million new shoppers added to our brand. The on the go sector is the natural place for us to grow, giving our customers an even wider choice of products in and out of the home.”
The new range will be available from convenience retailers in January 2019.
