LEADING ENERGY DRINK BRAND CARABAO LAUNCHES ‘SHOW US YOUR COLOURS’ COMPETITION TO MARK TWO YEARS OF CARABAO CUP SPONSORSHIP
To celebrate the second year of its title sponsorship of the Carabao Cup, Carabao Energy Drink has launched Show Us Your Colours, a Twitter campaign giving fans across the country the chance to win tickets to see their favourite team in action throughout this season’s competition.
From this week, Carabao Energy Drink is giving away match tickets to every single game of 2018-19’s Carabao Cup with a whopping 2,000 tickets up for grabs from the first round all the way to the final.
To be in with the chance of winning, supporters must tag @CarabaoUK on Twitter, share an image related to the football club that they support – this can be a scarf, match day ticket, mug or even a tattoo – and use their dedicated team hashtag such as #MyChelsea or #MyReading.
Show Us Your Colours follows Carabao’s latest major campaign; the successful We Are Female Fans initiative, which aimed to change negative female football fan stereotypes. Its continued investment in its customers – and through its in depth involvement in football, a wider mass market of sports fans – demonstrates Carabao’s on-going commitment to differentiate itself from other energy drinks to drive further growth in the energy drinks category as a whole, with a clear purpose behind everything it does.
Chief Marketing Officer of Carabao UK, John Luck said: “As well as making great tasting energy drinks, we like to boost the lives of football fans too. Our Show Us Your Colours promotion offers 2,000 football fans a chance to see their team play in the Carabao Cup, including the final, for free! Show Us Your Colours from July 23rd and hopefully you’ll be one of our winners.”
As a major football sponsor of the Carabao Cup, Chelsea FC, Chelsea FC Women, Reading FC, Reading FC Women and Abingdon United Women FC, the ticket competition is expected to be popular with fans from all over the country, from Carlisle to Charlton and Swansea to Southampton.
