Fox’s to help drive seasonal sales with retro selection box

Big Bear Confectionery, owner of the iconic brand Fox’s Glacier, will launch a retro heritage selection box this month (September) to help retailers cash in on the trend for retro sweets in the run up to Christmas.

With ‘kidulting’ – treats and sweets geared towards adult consumers who are looking for ways to relive their childhood – a growing trend in the UK, the Heritage Fox’s Glacier Selection Box (RRP £3.49) includes retro packaging on its classic Glacier Mints and Glacier Fruits alongside the latest permanent addition to the Fox’s family – Glacier Spearmints.

 

Designed in celebration of the brand’s 100th anniversary, the Heritage Fox’s Glacier Selection Box features photography from Fox’s archive and will roll out in high streets and independent sweet shops from September.

 

Andrew Ovens, marketing manager, commented: “In preparation for our 100th anniversary celebrations, we’ve spent a lot of time going through our archives. Talking to our customers we realised there was a real demand for revisiting retro packaging and so we’re delighted to be able to dust off old photos and designs to capture the past 100 years and launch this retro classic collection for Christmas.”
