STARBUCKS WRAPS THE CHILLED CAFFÈ LATTE IN RED

Limited edition festive design of the ready-to-drink Chilled Classic returns to the UK

 

Starbucks, the no.1 brand in the UK Chilled Coffee sector, is bringing back the magic and prod_starbucks_red_cup_white_latte_3d_straw_02excitement of the festive season to the grocery aisle once again. This eye-catching, limited edition cup design for the popular chilled coffee drink, the Caffè Latte, is back for 2017.   

A favourite for customers in Starbucks stores, the ready-to-drink Chilled Classics Caffè Latte is lightly sweetened and made with 100% Arabica espresso roast coffee. It can be found wrapped up in its red winter coat with a shiny, metallic finish again this year –  the perfect chilled drink for the festive season anytime, anywhere.

 

The return of the limited edition red design will be supported by an OOH print and digital marketing campaign, including a Starbucks sampling stand at King’s Cross. This will be bringing on-the-go cheer to Londoners travelling through the station between November 27th-2nd December.

Claire Irvine, commercial marketing manager, Arla, adds: “This year we hope to build on the success of prior year sales of this limited edition cup design, which delivered a Caffè Latte ROS increase of 107.2% vs category average of 31.7%. We hope this limited edition design will once again spread some cheer for Christmas shoppers, and more customers will be able try the delicious Caffe Lattè for themselves.”

 

Starbucks ready-to-drink is a market-leader with 60% UK value share – growing at 26% ahead of the category. In the last two years, Starbucks has added £20m to the sector by continuing to invest in and expand its range. Each flavour in the Chilled Classics range represents favourites Starbucks fans have come to know and love -  but with a refreshing chilled twist. The full line-up of this ready-to-drink range includes Caffè Latte, Skinny Latte, Caramel Macchiato and Americano.

 

Caffè Latte

A refreshingly chilled blend of Starbucks espresso and velvety milk makes this deliciously traditional latte.

Skinny Latte

A new and improved lactose-free recipe, containing no added sugar, at only 77 calories per cup – a great option for busy consumers who are seeking great tasting, low sugar and lactose-free coffee on the go.

Caramel Macchiato

For those with a sweet tooth, the Chilled Caramel Macchiato, made with Starbucks Espresso Roast coffee is an indulgent blend of bold espresso, creamy milk and buttery, sweet caramel flavour.

Caffè Americano
Inspired by the classic Caffè Americano hot beverage, the Chilled Caffè Americano is made with Fairtrade 100% Arabica espresso roast coffee, with milk.

 

The limited-edition festive Caffè Latte cup design will be available in select supermarkets, high street stores, grocery, convenience stores and forecourts nationwide during November and December 2017
