HIPPEAS BRINGS THE SWEET HEAT WITH A NEW FLAVOUR THIS SUMMER

Summer Days call for Chilli Haze

HIPPEAS, the organic chickpea puff brand, have launched a new flavour just in time for summer. Chilli Haze, a Sriracha flavoured variant, brings the sweet heat with plenty of chilli and spice. The flavour launched exclusively in to Asda earlier in the year and following its success will roll out in wider distribution this summer including Amazon, BP, Ocado, Planet Organic and WHSmiths. The brand describes the flavour as “Amped up with Sriracha chilli and groovy garlic, the sweet heat of these puffs will blow your mind.Chilli Haze 22g 2

The launch of Chilli Haze forms part of the brand’s integrated marketing campaign, ‘Summer of Love’ which includes PR, Digital and a national sampling tour around the UK. The Chilli Haze launch is centred around the tagline, ‘Sweet Heat’ with an accompanying social campaign, ‘Summer Days call for Chilli Haze’, which invites consumers to comment on what activity they associate most with the season.

Craig Hughes, Managing Director, HIPPEAS UK & Europe commented: “As we continue to grow the business in the UK, our Chilli Haze seemed like a natural step for HIPPEAS, seeing the prevalence of this flavour across the savoury snacking market. We hope this bold new variant grabs the attention of consumers this summer, driving trial and furthering our brand awareness.”

A lighter alternative to crisps, HIPPEAS are organic, vegan, gluten-free, packed with protein and fibre and have 91 or less calories a pack. Now the fastest growing free from snack in the UK, it is stocked across 10,000 outlets with retailers including Asda, Coop, Holland & Barrett, Co-op, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, WHSmith and Wholefoods. Last May the brand announced investment from Strand Equity Partners, a leading US growth equity fund founded by Seth Rodsky, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

HIPPEAS organic chickpea puff Chilli Haze RRP: 22g single serve, £0.99 and 78g sharing bag, £1.99.
