Happy birthday L&B Blue!
L&B Blue, the great value spin-off of iconic forerunner Lambert & Butler Silver, celebrated its 3rd birthday this month.
The brand has enjoyed a thrilling three years since its February 2014 launch, and now commands a share of almost 4%1 of the UK factory made cigarette (FMC) market.
Imperial Tobacco Brand Manager Emma Stew comments: “L&B Blue was designed to appeal to adult smokers seeking a lower priced cigarette that also boasted Lambert & Butler’s brand pedigree.
“It quickly became extremely popular with value-seeking adult smokers, with range additions like Crushball – one of the UK’s best-selling1 capsules since its summer 2015 launch – helping it command a healthy 15%1 share of the UK economy FMC sector.
“Moving forwards, we expect L&B Blue to become an important product in Imperial’s portfolio under standardised packing, and recommend that retailers looking to increase their sales should ensure they stock up on this profit-driving tobacco brand.”
