Camelot’s retailer incentive pays off for £20,000 winner

Seelan Poopalasingam, a very lucky National Lottery retailer and owner of Oldfield Lane Newsagents in Greenford in London, was delighted to discover he had won Camelot’s £20,000 retailer incentive.

The incentive, which ran from November 2017, encouraged National Lottery retailers to get online and find out more about the new EuroMillions HotPicks game – all to be in with a chance of winning a range of fantastic cash prizes.

Not only did Seelan scoop £20,000, but two other retailers also grabbed a whopping £5,000, while 20 retailers walked away with a handsome £1,000 – a total prize-pot of an incredible £50,000.

Seelan said he planned on using the prize to take his wife and two children on holiday to Sri Lanka, and reduce his mortgage.

Brett Langford, Retail Sales Executive at Camelot, who visited Seelan in-store to congratulate him on his prize, said it was a fantastic moment to be a part of:

“To say that Seelan was overjoyed would be an understatement! It was great to visit him at his shop and hear more about what he’s planning to spend the cash on. Well done to Seelan and all of our other National Lottery retail partners who took part.”

Seelan was one of 23 winners during Camelot’s retailer incentive that ran to support independent retailers during the launch of the new EuroMillions HotPicks game. At the same time, Camelot also introduced a new Tuesday Thunderball draw, which has so far seen two top-prize winners of a massive £500,000. The new Tuesday draw is in addition to the existing Thunderball draws on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
